Heritage Sites

How To Use
The easiest way to search for site is to use the main search field. This will return anything that matches by name, description or address.  Additionally you can use the filters to narrow results with specific attributes:
  • Locality: The locality or suburb within the Mid-Western Region. This is derived from the geocoding of the addresses.
  • Type: A categorisation of the heritage site. Note that the type describes the shape of the item not the current usage.
  • Significance: In Australia heritage items are graded as being of Local, State and national significance. As there are no nationally significant sites in the Mid-Western regional council area only Local and State are selectable.
  • Period / Style: The architectural style of the item. This is only relevant for buildings. Not all sites have a period / style.
Example
To search for all buildings constructed of weatherboard in  Mudgee, enter the following
  • Search: Weatherboard
  • Locality: Mudgee
