A great way to discover the unique heritage of the Mid Western Region is just by taking a brief walk around some of the towns. On this site you will find several mobile phone optimised heritage trails. The Trails connect key historic sites and buildings and provide a self guided experience from any phone. These are only a sample of some of the beautifully restored, historic houses and buildings that the region has.
Trail Modes
The Heritage trails operate in either Interactive or Virtual Tour mode. The mode is automatically selected based on the ability of your browser to obtain GPS information and your proximity to the trail. If you are on a mobile device it is important to grant access to your location when prompted for interactive mode to function. The key difference between the modes is in interactive mode you will be guided to each item in sequence.
